20/07/08 - Well, we've now been in the states for a couple of weeks and everything has been fantastic. We played at Tarafest last night which was an amazing event which managed to raise a heap of money to help send our friend Tara Blackwell to Germany for some medical treatment. This week we have shows in Mobile and New Orleans so if you're in our neck of the woods we'll look forward to seeing ya at one of the shows! We've also been featured on Musicadium's website as artist of the week so if you'd like to read our interview you can find it HERE. 01/07/08 - We've just received some bad news that some of the CD's that we sold through Germany were pressed with some sort of video game on it instead of our music. I am very sorry to anyone who received a bad copy, please click HERE to email us and we'll arrange to send you a real copy and even some live tracks from our gig at Berlin guitars as recorded by our good friend Alexander to let you know how sorry we are!

We are now back in London where we played a great show last night with the Crimea (and for those of you who haven't downloaded the album for free do yourself a favour and go to: http://www.thecrimea.net/ and get yourself a copy! On Thursday night we play an Aussie music showcase at Shepherds Bush walkabout with some great bands including the Brooke Supple Band, Lucas, Ellison and Mofo, so if you're in town make sure you come and say hi! X

06/06/08 - Bonjour from France, where we have finally found 10 minutes to get up to date with things here in web land. The tour has been fabulous so far, China was a blast (go to the myspace to check out the pics) and our European shows have been amazing, with the special added bonus of meeting up with our Goldie friends Roger That who are also on tour through Europe and we played a set with them last night in Lille, Fr. Next we're off to Belgium, Germany, Norway then back to Germany and the UK before we jet off to America once more! So stay tuned for those dates and hope to catch you all at a show sometime somewhere around the globe! Big smiles X

15/04/08 - Hi guys, just a quick note to let you know that I've finally put up some of the dates for the O/S tour... China, UAE and a couple of the European dates. So for all you fellow gypsy spirits, hope to catch you somewhere around the globe. Also have a bunch of photos that you guys have sent me to whack up on the site... I'm on to it, I promise... just need to find a minute to do it amongst confirming dates, arranging visas, playing gigs, getting cd's printed... etc etc... blah blah X

07/04/08 - Hello friends, long time no update... sorry about that, but hopefully some of you have been keeping an eye on the tour blog for all our stories and photos. We've just set our feet back on home land and are now frantically trying to catch up on all the things we need to get done before we head off overseas. The great news is that we've been given a grant from the Australia China Council to assist with our China tour at the end of this month. Our China dates are almost all confirmed with shows in Shanghai, Nanjing and Beijing including the Midi Festival which we're very excited about. So big thanks to the ACC and we plan to make the absolute most of our time in China before heading to the Middle East and Europe. More details on all those dates soon. X

25/02/08 - Hello friends, we've just added a buy online feature to the website so now not only can you download the album online, but you can also purchase a physical copy on your credit card or using your paypal account. If you buy online we'll post a copy to you as soon as we receive the order. When you click on buy now you will be led to a payment page which will ask for your paypal account details, but if you don't use paypal just click on the continue link on the bottom left hand side of the page next to the credit card symbols and it will guide you through the credit card payment option. 15/02/08 - Well, it's been a while in the making but we've finally completed our album! It's called 'Life plays out' and is now available for download from the music page here as well as our myspace. We're super excited about everything that's been happening over the past few weeks - finishing the album, beginning our crazy tour round Australia and getting invited to play some awesome shows around the world! At the moment we're in Batemans Bay on the south coast of NSW and tomorrow we head west. We're traveling in a sensational van courtesy of www.worldnomads.com and we've been busily documenting the tour for our travel blog on their website. 03/01/08 - Happy New Year! We hope you've all had a beautiful festive season, things have been fabulous in Hussy land, we played a great NYE gig at the newly licensed Cavern in Nobbys Beach and we've been on the case of booking our national and international tours for 2008. So far we're planning to drive from Sydney across the Nullarbor to Esperance, Margaret River and Perth and then back up to Broome and on to Darwin before returning back to the east coast. We're able to do all this thanks to that great people at World Nomads www.worldnomads.com who have asked us to be their Ambassadors for about 7 weeks. This means they supply us with an awesome campervan and we'll be sharing all our tour stories through their web site in a series of blogs, videos and podcasts! Then after all that we're off to China, Dubai, Europe and the States so we've got a massive year ahead. We're also very close to finishing the album (finally!) with the incredible Bill Chambers and will have it ready for release mid Feb! Yay!!!! 21/09/07 - Hi all, well the past month has been massive to say the least - Julz spent a week in China playing with the Crimea at the Bejing Pop fest, we did a fab run of gigs down in the NSW snow fields and we're getting set to head off to WA for a few weeks! We've also entered a couple of songs in the Music Oz awards, so please click on the link and listen to our tracks (including a new version of Happy) and vote for us! you can win a Maton guitar so it's worth a go! We've also got our backstage area up, which is still under construction but we're offering a whole bunch of treats for hussy backstagers so jump onboard. Big love to all, til the next update! X

21/08/07 - Hi guys, lots of things have been happening in our world of late... been playing some fun gigs, got amongst things with Dallas Frasca and Marshall & the Fro in Brissy last week which was great fun, thanks to everyone who made it down to that show... we're just about to head south on a snow tour after hitting the Sunny coast for a gig this weekend and then again on Wednesday to play a show with Taxiride. Then it's looking very likely that Julz will jet over to China to cameo with the Crimea at the Beijing pop festival. We've also been working on getting our live album underway and though we've had a few setbacks with illness (both band and producer!) we're really excited about the project. As for me... I've just got myself a shiny new laptop so now I have no excuse for not updating this site regularly! You may also have noticed that there's a photo gallery on our pics page specially for your photos so if anyone has any hussy pics just email them by clicking here and i'll whack them up. 14/07/07 - Hi it's Julz .. since Leesa did absolutely everything on this new website I insisted on writing this update. Have a look around and if you notice any hiccups just give her an email and she'll fix it. As for general news, we've been a little sick this week and have had to postpone recording our live album .. but don't fear .. its coming soon. We've been having a lot of fun at gigs of late and tomorrow sees us playing a fun souly bluesy eclectic electric fantastic band gig with Trace on bass and Chubby Winterhaven on drums. CC the cat will be opening up the night with some smooth reggae grooves. Big thanks to Polly who took our new photos .. we love you. ciao for now xx Julz

29/05/07 - Ah what a great couple of weeks, we've been playing a lot of gigs with Marshall & the Fro to promote their newly released album. The launch night at the Great Northern was incredible, thanks to everyone who was there, you were a sensational audience! Got a bunch of gigs coming up all over the place so keep an eye on the gigs page or our myspace for updates.

24/04/07 - For all the beautiful people who were part of the magic that was the Studio 44 opening, thank you so much for making it so great! Now that it’s all underway Kit will be hosting gallery evenings once a month, so have a look at www.myspace.com/studio44artspace to see the featured artists and musicians coming up. The Dubai/Egypt trip was fantastic, so much love to all my friends over there, cant wait to see you again!

19/03/07 - Hello friends, well we’ve had a magical few months playing lots of fun gigs to a whole bunch of wonderful people, thank you to all of those that have been a part of it. Have been doing my best to keep the web site updated, but you know how it is... Having far too much fun playing to spend a lot of time in front of the computer! But we do keep all our gig dates current on our myspace page, so keep your eyes on that. I’m off for a short stint in Dubai to visit my sis but will be back in April for some great gigs including the studio 44 opening... Check our myspace for more details. Til then, much love Xx
29/10/06- As you can see I’m working on a new look for our site... I hope you like it. Also been working on some new tunes which we’ll whack up on the site soon as we finish recording em.
03/10/06 - We’re currently booking a bunch of gigs around Australia and will be back in the studio to put down our new tunes in the coming weeks. Keep and eye on the gigs page for updates.
13/07/06 - Well we’re in the States and we’ve played our first gig. All is going wonderfully well and we have fallen in love with West Virginia and in particular the Purple Fiddle. Keep and eye on the blog for our tour diary entries!
17/06/06 - I’m very sad to have to announce Kristys departure from the Hussy Hicks. Unfortunately Julz and I will be heading to the states without our beloved “Gentz” as she is staying in Dubai for a few extra months to take advantage of some excellent opportunities that have been thrown her way. But she assures us that she will be dedicating a heap of her time to writing and demoing new tunes, so we have lots to look forward to. We love ya Gentz and you’ll be terribly missed!

07/06/06 - Hi Guys, well, we’ve been keeping busy gigging and spending as many hours in the studio as possible and we’ve finished tracking for a couple of songs, so we’re finally getting somewhere! We played at the Dubai Original Music Festival on May 26th and it was an awesome night. I’ve put up some photos from the night on the gallery page so go ahead and check em out.
26/05/06 - We are currently in Dubai working on our album and playing gigs. We’re also booking dates for a US tour beginning in August, so I’ll post those dates as soon as they are confirmed.
